Young golfers to learn golf at The British School

The British School Junior Golf Academy, sector 44 Chandigarh is holding first of its kind two months camp for junior golf aspirants from March 20.
In a press statement issued here today school’s principal Mona Shri Sethi said that children in the age group of 5 to 12 years will learn the tees and pars of game under able guidance of Manjit Kochar, Director Overseas, Junior Golf Development Programme ICGA Canada and Golf Teaching Pro Chandigarh Golf Club.
The newly built golf academy is hosting this camp that is open for students of all the schools. Mona Shri Sethi added that the participants will be taught basic fundamentals of golf including putting, chipping, long and short irons, golf etiquette and basic rules of the game. Camp will be held twice a week.
Camp participants will have privilege to play on newly laid miniature golf course having two greens and a bunker and will learn course management as well. The British School will provide all equipments including range fee, range balls, caddie money and golf set rental etc. Last date of registration is March 18.
The British School Junior Golf Academy is endorsed by ICGA Canada. It is an initiative of school to make golf affordable and accessible to the children of tricity.
