Continental Group holds blood donation camp
More than 230 donate blood at camp

Over 230 students donated blood at a blood donation camp organized by Continental Group of Institutes at sector 17 plaza Chandigarh, here today. The camp which was inaugurated by Ms. Anu Chatarath, Mayor Chandigarh witnessed a great enthusiasm amongst the students, who gathered in big numbers since morning to donate blood. A team of Doctors from Blood bank PGI, Chandigarh could only manage to collect 230 units out of the total of 500 students who got registered for the blood donation camp.
Col. Karamjeet Singh, Director, Continental Group of Institutes, while welcoming the guests informed that such blood donations camps are organized by the CGI at regular intervals from the past 4 years as part of the group’s social commitment to the cause of humanity and saving precious human lives. Karamjit said that he is glad that the staff members and the students of Continental Group of Institutes work cohesively to hold such camps which serve a much larger purpose otherwise.
While speaking in the occasion Anu Chatarth applauded the efforts made by the group to inculcate the sense of responsibility within the students of helping and saving the lives of their fellow citizens and hence laying such a philanthropic precedent for others to follow, by organizing such camps. She requested Col Karamjit to increase the frequency of such camps in near future.
