An orientation for the parents of students at Ashmah International School was held at the school premises today.

Realizing the fact that a child’s education is an ongoing and concerted effort and joint efforts of both parents and teachers, the Ashmah International School authorities convened this meeting that also discussed aspects of good parenting.

While interacting with the parents, Principal Roopinder Ghuman said that in order to provide best for children, it is necessary that old system of reviewing be replaced with the dynamic teaching reviews.

At the teacher-parent interaction main agendas remained curriculum and activities. Suggestions and appreciation by parents made added zing to the interaction.

In order to attain its mission to offer quality education, realization of full potential of every child, school organized this interactive session wherein parents freely discussed their parenting problems and ways to motivate their child to do better.

Ghuman advised parents to take a few simple steps at home that help their children enjoy school more. “As a parent, at times we tend to overlook small achievements of our children, which need encouragement. Praising your child for an improved behavior too is an important part of parenting,” she said.
