Punjabi Univ Ropar zone youth fest begins
Youth fest begins with a bang at Rayat-Bahra

The Ropar zone youth festival of Punjabi University, Patiala opened with a bang and enthusiasm at the premises of Rayat-Bahra College of Law, Sahauran today.
SSP Mohali Gurpreet Singh Bhullar was the chief guest of occasion today. He inaugurated the fest exhorting efforts of varsity and college in holding such fests that encourage talent in youngsters. Renowned singer Satwinder Bitti was the guest of honor.
Dr Paramvir Singh, programme coordinator NSS Punjabi University was the chief guest for events hosted at moot court hall of college.
The chief guest for evening session was Dr Davinder Singh, director planning and monitoring, Punjabi University.
Teams from different colleges competed for various. In reverberating giddha team from S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib secured first place, Rayat & Bahra College of Education, Mohali team stood second, Government College , Ropar team secured third place and SBS Khalsa College, Padiala was adjudged fourth. Best dancer award went to Harjot Kaur from Government College, Mohali.
For group shabad event S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib team stood first, Government College Mohali team secured second place, Shivalik College of Education Research Mohali secured third berth and Government College , Ropar was adjudged at fourth position.
In classical vocal event Government College Mohali team secured first place and Government College, Ropar team was adjudged second. In semi classical vocal event Government College Ropar stood first place and Government College Mohali secured second place.
The creative clay modelling event had Government College Ropar vying first place, Sri Kanshi Ram College Bhagomajra secured second position, Rayat & Bahra College of Education Mohali stood third and Government College Mohali team stood fourth.
In rangoli making contest Government College Mohali secured first place followed by Government College Ropar team at second, Guru Nanak Dev College Majatri at third place and Sri Kanshi Ram College Bhagomajra team at fourth place.
