Gurukul Global Celebrates Annual Day with PANACHE

Gurukul Global School, manimajra Chandigarh held its Annual extravaganza, PANACHE 2009-10 on the star studded evening at Tagore Theatre, sec 18, Chandigarh. The twinkling stars up in the sky were not half as bright as the young stars of Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, in their resplendent attires. Mr. Pradip Mehra, (IAS), Advisor to the Administrator UT Chandigarh was the Chief Guest for the evening.
The aura of all the stars and bewitching ambience gave just the right backdrop to the splendor and grandeur of the gala event.
PANACHE began on a traditional note with Tikka ceremony of the Chief guest and Diya Lighting by him. He also released the Third edition of the schools in house News Letter ‘ Gurukul Global Express’ . The News Letter gives a glimpse of the glories and successes of the school over the year.
Ganesh vandana, a Classical Dance item was performed for an auspicious and pious beginning of the cultural programme. Dr V.D. Singh, Chairman of the school formally welcomed the guests. Principal Aruna Bhardwaj presented annual report on the occasion highlighting achievements in scholastic and co scholastic activities.
Earlier speaking at the occasion chief guest Pradip Mehra Advisor to Administrator Chandigarh, U.T. exhorted schools efforts in enlightening students on social and environmental issues through such presentations.
Mowgli, famous character of The Jungle Book, turned green crusader and delivered message of saving mother earth at the annual function of Gurukul Global School IT Park.
Students of kindergarten section of the school aptly presented woes of mother earth under constant pollution through this skit that collected applause.
Students brought back the memories of good childhood days with event Midnight Miracle wherein a magic wand brings alive all the toys of a child. At midnight toys from Barbie dolls to teddy bears, from army toys to cartoon characters, cuddly toys come to life and dance to music.
Students of senior school paid a rich tribute to epitome of pop music Michael Jackson and danced to medley of western songs.
The joy of listening fairy tales on Grandma’s lap came alive with An Enchanting Tale that took spectators to mystery of Tinderbox in a musical, presented by students of Class I and III.
Nursery tiny tots celebrated the rhapsody of nature with its changing moods bringing out beauty of seasons and breaking monotony of life.
Students presented mesmerizing world of Ali Baba and forty thieves in item Arabian Magic, while item confluence – the Indian ethos introduced audience to myriad colors of Indian culture represented by vibrant dance forms of four regions of great sub-continent.
The stunning item was also the befitting Grand Finale of the grand cultural bonanza, mind blowing, glittering moment when each and every member of Gurukul Global Family was on the stage, Glittering pop-up bombs lent a festive spirit to the atmosphere and True Panache of the globalites was admired by everyone.
