HP-IIHT set up campus incubation centre at Rayat-Bahra
North India’s first incubation centre comes up at Rayat-Bahra

Renowned IT Corporation HP (Hewlett-Packard) and training masters IIHT have come up with North India’s first HP incubation centre at Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutes’ Kharar campus.
Keshav Raju, CEO IIHT inaugurated HP-IIHT incubation centre that would impart training to students at the institute.
Speaking at the occasion Vice Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that main purpose of incubation centre is to train students on IT technology that is relevant to their field and at the same time expose them to other fields as well.
“This centre is first of its kind in North India that makes students deployable in present and future job scenario. It’s basically industry driven training wherein entire training model revolves around industry. The contents of training have been decided after taking feedback of industry as well as making it a partner in monitoring this module. The approach is to train, place and make the students deployable and productive from day one,” he said.
Santosh P the country manager of HP and head of HP Education in India pointed out that more than Rs 24 lakhs have been invested in this centre that would be equipped with a full time trainer in campus. “Students would be trained at centre from the day they step in campus till they pass out,” he added.
He added that training encapsulates module of self up gradation as and when the technology under goes changes. Fields like database administration, testing, storage and security, networking, systems administration, development etc have been carefully chosen for students of IT and CSE.
Students of mechanical engineering would be given scope of choosing IT related to their fields like – 2D/3D CAD CAM and business intelligence. Similarly, students of electrical, electronics and communication can choose embedded technology, while civil engineers can opt for STAD Pro as field of specialization.
Placements are an inherent part of this training program with student undergoing training being provided with a minimum of five placement opportunities. All students would be assisted with the projects that they need to work on during their academic tenure.
Keshav Raju said that IIHT is one amongst Asia’s top IT training organizations and had a Rs. 800 million in revenues last year.
Managing Director, CM Bahl, Asst. MD Dr. Sandeep Kaura, campus director Keshav Sharma, K.K. Uppal and other directors were also present at the occasion.
