Kids in bridal, ethnic wear steal the show

Chandigarh, October 29
The British School organized first of its kind kids-n-glamour fashion show at its sector 44 campus today.
Kids from the age group of 3 to 12 years sashayed down the ramp at the show setting it on fire in their lively and exuberant performances. Simran K. Mundi, Femina Miss. India Universe added to the glamour quotient of evening with little ones.
Students form different schools of tri-city participated enthusiastically in bridal round with ethnic wear, casual round and black mystery round. The innovative round drew huge applause from the audience. Based on the idea of child and his / her parents’ innovation, the round witnessed little ones presenting themselves confidently before public and spoke on the attire they wore.
Fire dance and western dance on popular Hindi numbers remained the most sought after fillers at the venue where kids in their little creations walked under dazzling lights, unfazed by the cheering crowd.
Dressed in fashionable outfits, traditional, modern and innovative, kids gave judges a tough time. The grand finale was a French song, by the school choir.
The surprise event of the evening remained students of the British School coming onstage from among audience dressed in traditional costumes from all over the world and carrying a banner We Want Peace. Give Us A Chance.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Munde was amazed to see the little packets of surprise performing on ramp in an excellent manner. She distributed prizes to the winners.
Director, Ms. M. Sethi, in her welcome address said the event meant at exposing children to varied things. “The young minds do not fear stage. For them this entire event was a fun and frolic event where they loved to be themselves,” she said adding that school’s emphasize was not only to ensure academic but all round development of students. The parents too felt that such events add to zeal of kids.
