Deepshikha brings laurels to Rayat – Bahra


Rayat-Bahra student wins five gold medals
Rayat-Bahra student lift trophy at inter college championship

Kharar, September 18

Deepshikha Shukla, student of Rayat -Bahra Institute of Hotel Management (RBIHM), Mohali shone bright at the Punjab Technical University inter college championship and bagged five gold medals.

With an unprecedented feat, Deepshikha has brought laurels to the college. During championship held at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana, she participated in 50 m back stroke, 50 m free style, 50m breast stroke, 100 m free style and 100 m back stroke. There were 6 participants in each event. The RBIHM also won the overall women trophy.

A jubilant Deepshikha said that she idolized Olympian Michael Phelps. “I dream of making it big like Michael with constant encouragement from my parents, teachers and Almighty,” she beamed.

Mr Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Vice –Chairman of the group congratulated the young achiever. He said that the Deepshikha’s achievement has once again proven mettle of Rayat-Bahra students. “We emphasize on overall development of the students and always encourage such students to achieve greater heights in their life,” he asserted.
