Glass Palace to hold our heritage, our pride fest

Glass Palace, renowned name in furnishings, is holding its third annual event – our culture, our heritage inviting children in the age group of 5 to 15 years to compete for various categories from October 30 to November 1.
Mr. Ajay Gupta, Director, Glass Palace, Chandigarh said that the event is yet another effort of the leaders in furnishings to bring our children closer to culture and heritage. “Children are our asset and its in them we invest values and inculcate love for our rich heritage. Through events children will explore world of heritage, culture and tradition with rainbow of emotions. It’s our little endeavor towards working hand in glove with the age of modern society while holding tight and tough the traditions,” he said.
All the events would be held at Glass Palace, sector 7 C Madhya Marg, Chandigarh. Contesting categories include face painting competition, would be held on October 30(between 4pm-7pm), October 31(2pm-7pm) and November 1(11 am-7pm)for children from 5 to 15 years. All the participants should arrive at venue with their faces painted.
Drawing competition is open for children from 6-8years (at 3pm),9-11years (at 4:30pm),12-14years(at6pm) and would be held on October 30.
Classical and folk singing competition has two categories of children from 7 to 10 years and 11 to 14 years presenting performance of two minutes each. For first category contests would be held at 2 pm and for second category at 4 pm.
Classical and folk dancing competition would be held on November 1 for three categories including 5 to 7 years (at 11 am), 8 to 10 years (at 2 pm) and 11 to 14 years (at 5 pm). Contests should bring their own CDs properly labeled.There would be educational and fun games for participating children during the on going event. November 7 will witness Prize distribution, Cultural Programme and Open Quiz Contest.
All the participants would receive participation certificates and winners would be adorned with trophies, medals and certificates. A trophy would be awarded to best school based on overall performance of participating students. All the participants strictly need to adhere to the theme our culture, our heritage.
