X-mas celebrations held at The British School
Chandigarh, December 22
Carol singing highlighted the Christmas celebrations at The British School, sector 44 Chandigarh.
Students of foundation years 1, 2 and 3 presented carols infused with enthusiasm and Christmas celebrations. Principal Mona Shri Sethi, principal, The British School, Chandigarh told students about the significance of Christmas and birth of Lord Jesus in a stable at Bethlehem. She dwell on the fact that how the festival is celebrated alike by Indians irrespective of religion.
Students presented melodious carols and sung their way into the heart of spectators. Students of class foundation year 1, 2 and 3 presented play Original Nativity.
The school choir presented carols Silent night, Way in a manger, Half the herald and Joy to the world. The students of foundation year 1, 2 and 3 presented poetical recitation. The spectators and parents gave a huge applause to brilliant performance.
Best performers of the event were awarded with appreciation certificates. The programme culminated with Santa – the Father Christmas giving away gifts and presents to the children.
