PARENTS ORIENTATION AT ASHMAH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

Mohali, April 4. Education of a child is an ongoing and concentrated
effort in which the school along with the parents is joint partner. Changing educational trends and dynamic technology necessitates, that the methodology of instructions be reviewed in order to provide the best for the children. Keeping this in view, an orientation programme was conducted for the parents at Ashmah International School on Saturday, the 4th of April, 2009. More than 200 parents attended the orientation program.

The mission of the school is to offer quality education for the realization of the full potential of each child and to instill values and positive attributes for their success in life. Various issues concerning the latest teaching methodologies and new technological trends were discussed. All agreed that development of the child should be the focus and concern of both the parents and the school faculty.

The school principal Mrs. Roopinder Ghuman said,” What sculptor is to a block of marble, education is to the soul”, and she promised to provide such a fulfilling educational experience to the children which is the dream of every parent. Teacher parent interaction was organized where the curriculum and the activities were the main agenda. The parents enthusiastically participated in the program and made valuable suggestions for consideration of the management which made the programme a grand success.

Earlier all on 3rd of April 2009 the school management organized FIP (Faculty Improvement Programme) in order to update the teaching skills of the school faculty and to apprise them about the latest development in teaching technology and for structuring the teaching
material keeping in view the needs of the growing students. The programme was conducted by ITFT faculty in the school premises.
