‘Basant Panchami’ celebrations at Ashmah


Mohali January 21. Students of Ashmah International School enjoyed Yellow Day on the occasion of ‘Basant Panchami’ celebrations in the school. The pre-primary and the primary classes of the school participated whole heartedly in the function. The children offered prayers to Goddess Saraswati. The skies were resplendent with kites of all colours and sizes. The school was decorated with yellow balloons and buntings. Shades of sunny yellow brightened up the ambience of the school. Both, the students and the teachers had come dressed in yellow attires. Students had brought home cooked traditional yellow coloured dishes in their tiffin.
The students of class II and III presented dances. Congratulating everybody on the occasion, Principal, Mrs. Roopinder Ghuman said that the festival signifies the happiness and comes to brighten up our lives and bless us with the joys that last throughout the year. Explaining the significance of the festival Mrs. Ghuman inspired the students to enjoy their studies to attain their goals.
Director of the school, Mr. J.S. Kesar appreciated the efforts of the staff. He said such functions are must to upgrade the knowledge of our children.
