Rayat-Bahra Group of Institutions, IBM and Karrox Technologies Sign a MoU to Offer Training on IBM Technologies to Engineering Students



Chandigarh, May 25, 2009: Rayat-Bahra Group, the Leading Professional & Technical Educational Group, having 26 educational Institutions & an extensive presence in North India, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IBM India and Karrox Technologies Ltd. (IBM Training Partner) to offer a unique training program to its engineering students aimed at enhancing their professional skill-set and improving their chances of employability.

Under this model, the students studying in B.Tech 2010 batch at Rayat-Bahra Group Colleges will get an opportunity to undergo specialized training on IBM technologies under the IBM Career Education in IBM Software (CEIS) program. Keeping in mind the increased demand by the industry at large for skilled practitioners on new and latest technologies, CEIS is a concentrated effort by IBM to fill in the gap. Under this program , the students shall be trained by Karrox Technologies on the five IBM software brands – Tivoli, DB2, Lotus, Web Sphere & Rational. The training duration shall be 140 – 200 hours which will also focus on enhancing the soft-skills of the students to help them improve their chances of employment in the industry during these tough market conditions.

It has been our ongoing effort to equip the student community with the right skills and knowledge required to succeed in the global market which is becoming more competitive and demanding. We hope that the students here will gain from our unique program structure that combines industry-oriented course curriculum, hands-on training methodology and a deliberate focus on imparting soft skills.
