Rayat and Bahra students prove their mettle

Rayat Bahra College of Engineering & Biotechnology for Women shines in PTU results
13 students secure more than 80 percent

Chandigarh, May 22
The students of Rayat & Bahra College of Engineering & Biotechnology for Women, Sahauran campus, proved their mettle by securing high percentile marks in first semester of B Tech examination conducted by Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar in December 2008.

Jaspreet Kaur, Simran and Priya Madaan topped in their respective branches of CSE, IT and ECE by securing 87.23%, 85.07% and 82.61% respectively. The students said that teachers have been a constant source of inspiration for them. Burning midnight oil and focusing on target proved to be a yielding equation for them.

The overall pass percentage of students in different subjects was 98% in communication skills, 95% in FCPIT, 85% in physics, 80% in chemistry and 75% in mathematics.

Out of total 260 students that appeared for the exams, 13 of them have secured more than 80% marks and 43 students secured more than 70% marks.

Director of the Institute Dr. Piyush Verma congratulated students for their dint hard work, consistency and determination which played a vital role in success.

Attributing this success to dedication of teachers and students, Vice Chairman of Rayat & Bahra Group, Shri Gurvinder Singh Bahra said that such bright results encourage students to excel more. The success of these students is motivation for others as well.

Managing Director of institute Shri C M Bahl expressed his happiness and lauded efforts made by the students.
