Mother’s Day celebrated at The Millennium School, Mohali.

Mohali, May 9. Mother’s Day is a time of commemoration and celebration for Mothers. The students of ‘The Millennium School’, Mohali marked Mother’s Day with a fun-filled program in which the importance of a mother in a child’s life was reiterated. The event began on a sweet note as students of class V recited a couple of poems on ’mother’. A beautiful song titled “ MA” , dedicated to the mother was sung by the school choir , essence of which was that how a mother selflessly looks after her children, & asks for nothing in return. How much ever we try, we can never repay the kindness, compassion and benevolence of our mothers. The children also performed a heart-warming skit which high-lighted the pain, sacrifice & selflessness involved of all mothers in bringing up their children.

The Principal, Mrs. Komal Singh’s message to the children was “Your mother is the person who has served you unconditionally, right from the time you were born. Though you can never repay her kindness, compassion & benevolence, you can always thank her with some token, & and let her know how special she is to you”.

To make their mothers feel special, all children carried home beautiful hand-crafted gifts for their mothers which they had made themselves over the last week at school .
