“ Gangaur – the rajasthani theme night at Rayat-Bahra.




Mohali, May 1. Rayat & Bahra Institute of Hotel Management yet again sets a new standard in quality education. Yesterday night they organized the first of its kind theme party “ Gangaur – the rajasthani theme night” .
The setup was subtle Rajasthani village complete with intricate detailing and complemented with sumptuous authentic rajasthani meal served the traditional way. The entire show was organized and managed by the 1st and 2nd year students of RBIHM.
A cultural programme was displayed by the students depicting the various regions and communities of Rajasthan like ghoomar, Chari & Kalbelia. The annual prize distribution ceremony also took place. Apart from other awards in academia, cultural & sports, The Best student of the year, Best All Rounder and Most Sincere Student of the Year awards were given to Shabnam Sharma, Lokesh Bajaj and Ajay Mor respectively.
On the occasion MP Avinash Rai Khanna released the first edition of “ Pristine – the hospitality journal”. Among guests were prominent persons from the hospitality industry as well as well known dignitaries, parents and students.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, vice Chairman said, “ Events like Gangaur, enable the students to bring out their creativity and imagination to the fullest. We have set new standards in providing quality education and training our students to the best.”
Mrs. Sonali Sinha, Principal of the institute said, “ Such events are important for the all round development of the student, They get actual on hand experience on the practical aspects of handling operations and crisis management.”
