Ashmians celebrate Mothers’ Day

Mohali May 10. Special Mother’s Day celebration was organized on Sunday, 10th May’09 at Ashmah International School, Sector-70, Mohali.
Students of class III and II staged a play highlighting that without mother it is impossible to manage a home. Mother is the pivot around which the whole family revolves. Students of U.K.G. danced to the tunes of “Mauja hi Mauja” and sung the song “Meri Maa”.
Apart from this many games like one minute game, tambola, hoopla dance, newspaper dance was organized for the mothers. Many gifts were distributed among them. The whole day was full of fun and frolic. Mothers enjoyed a lot.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Roopinder Ghuman said we wanted to honour the efforts and role played by mothers in helping to grow these promising little ones. She advised mothers to look after their health because healthy mother will always keep her family happy. Happy family produces good human beings.
The Director, Mr. J S Kesar, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Retd.) dwelt upon the role of mothers in making a happy and satisfied child responsible for his / her grooming; a happy family; a coherent society and a progressively strong relation. Mothers play a key role in making the child a positively thinking, balanced and a constructive and patriotic individual. He advised to mothers to be the friend and the guide to their children in the real sense of word and to win their confidence not only on the basis of the strength of their social relationship but also by becoming a role model for the minds which is very sensitive and receptive.
