The students of Ashmah International School, sector 70, Mohali today participated in brainstorming quiz competition, which was a blend of curriculum and general knowledge questions.

Students from class I to III participated in this contest. The competition not only made students more aware of their environment and surroundings, but also instilled good leadership and teamwork quality.

Questions were based on multiple-choice patterns where students were required to select the correct answer. Some of the questions were related to environment, present leadership, social relationships, simple arithmetic and everyday scientific phenomenon.

There were four students in each team from each class. This was done to inculcate concept of healthy group, functioning and lending helping hand to each other. There was an unusual excitement in peer groups that first discussed a question and then answered it.

Principal of the school Mrs. Roopinder Ghuman highlighted need for creative thinking and observation. The students enjoyed quiz session thoroughly and young minds lapped up every query.

In class I group, Tagore team secured first place including team members Punya, Vansh, Manav and Namrata. In class II group, Cherry team stood first including team members Kunwarpreet, Brahmjot, Bikramjeet, Maya and Pravdeep.

From class III group, Tulip team secured first position that included team members Shubham, Vishwpreet and Maneet.
