Lecture delivered on opportunities in New Zealand at CIIS

Students at CIIS were enlightened on opportunities in New Zealand in creative field. Sue Allard, National Principal, Natcoll Design Technology, NZ apprised students about the closet openings that lies waiting to be explored at New Zealand.

She gave students an insight into various competencies needed that would be imbibed to enable them to take industry by storm across the world.

“In the times of acute shortage of creative talent in New Zealand, the talented and skilled people are in much demand,” Allard said. She emphasized that to meet with this shortage and harness the opportunity, CIIS had collaborated with Natcoll to churn out professionals that are equipped with right competencies to fill in gaps.

These things have also been identified in the list of long-term skill shortage. Students are authorized to have a year’s work permit following to the completion of their qualification, which subsequently becomes the right leeway for professionals interested in PR.

It was best platform for students to study, work and get the required international exposure in pertinent field required to succeed globally, Allard later told media persons.

To meet with these requirements on Indian students, CIIS has come up with innovative six months bridging program.

“It imbibes in students right competencies that ensure their success in program subsequently in Natcoll,” she said.
The curriculum of these courses has been tailored to meet with requirements of professional skills. CIIS hones creative skills of students and helps them design a portfolio that ensures their admission in prestigious design college.
Students are also imparted proficiency in English and computers with professional orientation on the international standards of education.

Allard revealed that Natcoll Design Technology is New Zealand’s largest specialist private provider of NZQA-approved, vocationally focused courses in digital media. It has to its credit the history of creating a steady stream of world-class creative professionals in fields of multimedia, computer graphic designs, animation, web development and video post-production.

600 regular students study in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch campuses. It is presently conducting one year certificate / 2-3 diploma programs in the above mentioned streams.
