Chandigarh, January 14
New Zealand has emerged as one of the most popular and safe study destinations for Indian students. The country has earned this distinction owing to its low rate of violence, decrease in military spending and election of a conaservative coalition government last year
Liz Batra, owner of IEGC- International Education Guidance and Care Chandigarh and Paramdip Singh – Director special projects at Waiariki Institute of Technology, a government institute in Rotorua said this while addressing media persons here today.
Talking about the New Zealand’s Student Visa policy, Liz said that the country has a transparent pathway from study to work to permanent residence.
Liz had been promoting New Zealand as a study destination since 2002. It was her company’s transparent and dedicated services that have earned them the Top Performing New Zealand Specialist Agent award from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise consistently for last 4 years. The award was granted on the basis of maximum number of successful student visa approvals. In 2009, Liz Batra also got the No. 1 Agent award from Waiariki Institute of Technology, Rotorua.
During her tête-à-tête with the media, Liz added that New Zealand has been voted the most peaceful country in world according to 2009 Global Peace Index Report.
Liz added that most of her students have found New Zealand very safe and high quality education destination. “Education system in NZ is competency based and students learn intricacies of subjects in practical and applied way. The main focus of institutes like Waiariki is to equip students with skills,” she said.
Paramdip Singh said that “We have 235 Indian students at our Waiariki campus and they are doing 20 hours per week part time jobs as well as studying full time in a very friendly and safe environment,” he revealed.
IEGC, being fully acquainted with all New Zealand universities / institutions, smoothly and effortlessly guide students through entire admission and visa process. Also, all personalized counseling and detailed information students receive from IEGC is absolutely free.
It even assists students with accommodation arrangements in New Zealand. “This can be a terrifying task for student that consumes tremendous energy and patience. Based on the student’s budget and further individual needs, precise accommodation is selected and suggested to them,” Liz said.
